Graphic design, or communication design, is the process of creating visual and textual content to convey ideas and experiences. This communication can take on various forms, both physical and digital, incorporating images, text, and graphics. The experience may be instantaneous or unfold over time. Design projects can range from something as small as a postage stamp to large-scale systems like national postal signage, or from a company’s digital identity to the complex mix of digital and print media found in an international newspaper. Graphic design serves many purposes, whether commercial, educational, cultural, or political.
